摘要： Attrition and erosion are common wasting diseases of the teeth, which left untreated cause extensive loss of tooth structure, leading to sensitivity and pain. Ceramic occlusal laminates are a new treatment modality for management of these conditions keeping in view the principles of “Minimally Invasive Dentistry”. This treatment modality offers durable restorations utilizing the latest materials and equipment with minimal preparation of tooth structure. Two ceramic materials have been evaluated for their clinical performance in the management of dental attrition and erosion.

摘要： Coronary artery disease (CAD) is increasingly recognized among patients with end-stage liver disease (ESLD), particularly in the context of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). Management of CAD in liver transplant candidates is challenging due to the competing risks of ischemic events and perioperative bleeding, especially when dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) is required after coronary stenting. Drug-eluting balloon (DEB) angioplasty offers a “leave-nothing-behind” approach that may reduce the need for prolonged DAPT, providing a potential bridge strategy to early liver transplantation.

摘要： This study evaluated the in vitro cytotoxicity, oxidative stress, and inflammatory responses of three 3D printed dental resins compared with CAD-CAM zirconia, CAD-CAM composite blocks, and direct resin composites, using human gingival fibroblasts.

摘要： Obesity is a multifactorial metabolic condition characterized by dysregulated lipid accumulation and systemic energy imbalance with escalating global prevalence. This chronic disease drives a spectrum of life-threatening comorbidities, including metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) and its progressive form, metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), which now represent a primary cause of liver-related morbidity and transplantation. Both conditions share pathophysiological underpinnings such as insulin resistance, chronic inflammation, and mitochondrial dysfunction, creating a vicious cycle where obesity exacerbates hepatic steatosis and fibrosis. Although US Food and Drug Administration-approved antiobesity agents such as glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (eg, semaglutide) demonstrate weight loss efficacy, their long-term utility is constrained by gastrointestinal intolerance and variable effects on hepatic outcomes. Similarly, the recent approval of resmetirom for MASH, though groundbreaking, leaves unresolved challenges in durability, accessibility and some adverse effects including gastrointestinal reaction. The intricate molecular crosstalk linking adipose and hepatocyte dysfunction necessitates innovative therapeutics targeting shared pathophysiological pathways or novel molecular targets. Natural products, with inherent structural diversity and multitarget potential, offer a promising avenue for dual intervention in the obesity-MASH continuum. This review systematically evaluates emerging endogenous metabolites and plant-derived compounds, elucidating their directly validated molecular targets and preclinical evidence for metabolic reprogramming against obesity and MASLD/MASH. 摘要： Background:Toddler's fractures (TF) are stable tibia fractures in children 1 to 4 years of age. Skin breakdown is a complication associated with casting and splinting and has been a continued issue at our institution. Based on literature review, we implemented a new treatment algorithm for TF. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the outcomes of our protocol with a particular focus on skin ***:Our protocol included exclusive utilization of controlled ankle motion (CAM) boots for immobilization, coaching ED and urgent care teams on proper CAM boot application and wear, creation and dissemination of handouts for caregivers, with an emphasis on frequent boot removal and skin checks, and the standardization of clinic scheduling protocols. A retrospective chart review of 429 patients with TF between 2019 and 2023 was performed. This included 358 patients prior to implementation of the new protocol and 71 patients after. Patient demographics, immobilization method, and the degree of skin breakdown was ***:There was no difference in patient age or sex between the two groups. Significantly larger percentage of patients were treated in CAM boots in the post-protocol group (66/71 (93%)) as compared with the pre-protocol group (116/358 (32.4%), P=0.0001). In the pre-protocol group, 61/358 (17%) had skin breakdown, the majority of whom had been treated in a long leg cast (LLC) (85.2%). In the post-protocol group, 7/71 (9.9%) had skin breakdown. This was not statistically different as compared with the pre-protocol group (P=0.208). However, in the post-protocol group, all incidences of skin breakdown occurred in patients who presented and were treated initially to an outside facility, with breakdown present at the time of initial presentation to our institution. 摘要： To systematically investigate and quantify the influence of bur radius compensation size on the design parameters of full-contour computer-aided design (CAD) crowns. The study analyzes the deterministic trends in morphological characteristics, surface area, volume, and geometric trueness across varying tooth anatomies to provide data-driven guidelines for CAD protocols. This study utilized a deterministic computer simulation to generate idealized virtual crown designs for three distinct anatomical tooth types (molar [#3], premolar [#5], and central incisor [#8]). Because the computational algorithm yields identical outputs from identical inputs with zero variance, a sample size calculation was not applicable; instead, single standardized designs were analyzed. The crowns were processed with seven varying bur radius settings: a 0.00 mm baseline (representing an ideal design with no bur constraints) and six test radii ranging from 0.10 mm to 1.50 mm. The resulting standard tessellation language (STL) files were analyzed using a custom Python algorithm (Eyleen Code) by utilizing Trimesh and NumPy libraries, to calculate trend geometric deviation metrics Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) and Hausdorff Distance (H.D) relative to the baseline. The simulation data revealed that increasing the bur radius from 0.10 mm to 1.50 mm resulted in progressive morphological changes across all tooth types. A marked trend of volumetric loss was observed; the molar volume decreased from a baseline of 160.60 mm down to 135.13 mm at the maximum radius. Conversely, surface area and roughness metrics showed a consistent upward trend. Geometric trueness deteriorated substantially with larger radii. While maximum localized deviations (H.D) peaked between the 0.75 mm and 1.00 mm settings, overall morphological deviation (RMSE) continued to climb, peaking at the 1.25 mm to 1.50 mm settings depending on the tooth type. 摘要： 无序固废堆场的快速识别与精细提取对于生态环境监测与土地资源管理具有重要意义。高分辨率遥感影像为无序固废堆场识别提供了重要支撑，但传统分割方法依赖大量像素级标注，成本较高。弱监督语义分割通过图像级标签训练模型，是降低标注成本的有效途径。然而，现有方法生成的类别激活图（CAM）往往仅关注局部判别区域，难以覆盖完整目标结构。为此，本文提出一种基于特征掩码恢复（FMR）的弱监督语义分割方法。该方法以Conformer为主干网络，在高层语义特征空间中引入结构化掩码与恢复机制，以增强目标整体表征能力。基于YREB数据集与增强型Global Dumpsite数据集进行实验，所提方法在两个数据集上CAM的IoU分别达到66.97%和67.24%，较基线模型均有显著提升；在语义分割任务中，IoU分别提升至67.36%和67.98%,F1分数均超过80%。结果表明，该方法能够有效提升CAM的空间完整性，并进一步改善弱监督语义分割性能，为无序固废堆场的高效识别提供可靠技术支撑。
