摘要： In this paper, a novel cross-lingual adaptation framework called CAM is presented for low-resource language speech recognition (LLSR). It is based on the recent popular adapter method. CAM is achieved by adapting self-supervised speech models (SSMs) from source languages to target low-resource languages in a two-stage process. CAM fills two research gaps existing in current methods: (i) language similarity is not effectively considered;(ii) the performance-efficiency trade-off is not well balanced. Specifically, two key components, a similarity-aware fusion module (SAFM) and an adapter weight-sharing strategy (AWSS), are designed. A well-trained adapter is introduced by SAFM to compute precise language similarities via dot product. AWSS takes both performance and efficiency into consideration by sharing adapter weights. Experimental results on two corpora, FLEURS and Common Voice, demonstrate that CAM equipped with these two designs, denoted as performance-oriented CAM (P-CAM), obtains state-of-the-art (SOTA) performance with satisfactory efficiency compared to current leading methods. Besides, an efficiency-oriented CAM (E-CAM) by introducing a weight-space fusion module (WSFM) is presented. The core of WSFM is to average the weights of multiple adapters into a new adapter. Compared to full fine-tuning, only 5.0% of trainable parameters are required for E-CAM while a 2.3% relative average word error rate (WER) reduction is obtained. CAM brings a performance- or efficiency-oriented trade-off to meet the different needs of speech recognition systems. © 2024 Elsevier B.V.

摘要： Highlights•Patients with IHD at baseline had a greater burden of comorbidities and higher incidence of hypertension, coronary artery disease, atrial fibrillation, and chronic kidney disease. •Patients with COVID-19 and IHD exhibit increased rates of AMI, cardiogenic shock, and ventricular arrhythmias. •Despite the higher rates of cardiac complications, in-hospital mortality did not differ between patients with and without ischemic heart disease.

摘要： Valve-sparing root replacement (VSRR) has been associated with good survival and low rates of valve-related complications (VRCs). Whether these advantages are present irrespective of patient comorbidity or age is unclear. The aim of this study was to analyze survival and frequency of VRCs in relation to patient comorbidity and age.

摘要： Managing advanced colon cancer is challenging, requiring targeted therapies. This study presents a novel nanoconjugate system, HA-CMD@ETP-MLT-NCs, designed to deliver etoposide (ETP) specifically to colon cancer cells. The system consists of Hyaluronic Acid (HA)-Functionalized Carboxymethyl Dextran (CMD) coated with Melatonin (MLT). The nanoconjugates showed good stability, with a zeta potential of −29.90 mV and a particle size of 199.1 nm. They achieved an 80.3 % yield and a high drug entrapment efficiency of 93.4 %. In vitro release studies demonstrated pH-dependent drug release, with 73.4 % released at pH 5.5 (tumour-like environment) and 42.6 % at pH 7.4 (normal tissue) over 24 h. The nanoconjugates improved cellular uptake, induced apoptosis, and reduced reactive oxygen species (ROS) in HCT116 colon cancer cells. Flow cytometry showed a significant decrease in ROS levels, and lipid peroxidation inhibition increased to 56.67 %. These findings suggest that HA-CMD@ETP-MLT-NCs enhance etoposide delivery and reduce side effects. Further in vivo studies and clinical trials are needed to confirm its therapeutic potential.

摘要： 为使纺织等内饰材料气味标准设置的内容合理并具有可操作性,在气味团体标准制定的过程中,按照标准制定的总体思路,对遇到的关键性问题进行研究分析,确立标准测试中的温度和时间、气味瓶、采样方式、测试环境、评价人员以及气味等级等关键内容。旨在建立统一的检测方法和结果评价标准规范,助力规范和评价汽车内饰产品质量,推动汽车内饰产业的质量提升。

摘要： 镉(Cd)是一种长期存在于自然界的剧毒重金属元素。纳米二氧化钛(TiO_(2)NPs)是一种新型纳米材料,由于其特殊的表面性质,TiO_(2)NPs在各个领域得到广泛应用,不可避免地进入到环境中与Cd共存,Cd和TiO_(2)NPs在土壤中共存必定会对植物产生一系列的影响。本研究以广泛栽种的旱柳无性系植株为材料,通过形态学、细胞学、亚细胞学观察及生理生化指标的测定,研究土壤中Cd和TiO_(2)NPs单一及共存处理对旱柳的影响。结果表明:Cd和TiO_(2)NPs单独处理时抑制旱柳生长发育,产生过氧化损伤,降低光合作用,改变Cd在组织和亚细胞中的分布;Cd和TiO_(2)NPs共存时,低浓度的TiO_(2)NPs会通过改变Cd的亚细胞分布而降低Cd的生物毒性,缓解Cd对旱柳的过氧化损伤和光合作用的抑制作用;高浓度的TiO_(2)NPs则会提高Cd在细胞器组分中的分布,加重植物Cd毒性而抑制植物生长;合适浓度的TiO_(2)NPs能缓解环境Cd胁迫对旱柳的毒害作用,提高植物修复效率。这将为旱柳应用于植物修复实践提供了一定的理论基础。

摘要： Recently, the high-resolution topology optimization to promote engineering applicability has gained much more attentions. However, an accurate and highly-efficient design framework for implementing shape and topology optimization of engineering structures with integration of CAD model is still in demand. In the current work, the critical intention is to develop a CAD-oriented parallel-computing design framework for arbitrary structures, where the Parametric Level Set Method (PLSM) is employed for shape and topology optimization. Firstly, an implicit identification model is constructed for generating a signed distance field using the vertex and normal information from the ‘STL’ file of engineering structures. The signed distance field is combined with the compactly supported radial basis functions (CSRBFs) to solve the initial level set function with a parametrization. This method is applied to present all domains, including design domains, Neumann boundary domains, Dirichlet boundary domains, and non-design domains. Secondly, the CPU parallel strategy is considered for allocating partitions of structural stiffness matrix in finite element analysis to different CPU cores for the parallel-computing to save computation costs. Thirdly, a parallel-computing design formulation is developed for performing shape and topology optimization of arbitrary structures, in which the partitioned terms of all design variables and stiffness matrix are concurrently computed on each CPU core. Finally, several classic benchmarks and the critical engineering structure of Virtual Reality (VR) glass part with extremely complex geometries, are discussed to demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed design framework. © 2024 Elsevier B.V.
