摘要： ObjectivesTo investigate the effects of denture cleansers on the various properties of CAD/CAM and heat-polymerized polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA). Materials and methodsTwo different brands of heat-polymerized and two of milled PMMA were fabricated (n = 50), in total 200. Each group was randomly divided into five subgroups (n = 10): control groups (D1) kept in distilled water, cleaning tablets (D2, D3), neutral (D4) and acidic electrolyzed acid water (EAW) (D5). Surface roughness, hardness and flexural strength values were evaluated. Data were statistically analyzed with two-way ANOVA and Tukey post hoc test for comparison (p<0.05). ResultsThe milled group showed significantly lower surface roughness, greater surface hardness, and higher flexural strength values than heat polymerized denture bases (p<0.05). The denture cleansers had no significant effect on the surface roughness values of the milled specimens (p>0.05), whereas the specimens in the heat-polymerized groups and treated with D5 showed greater surface roughness values compared with the other cleaning agents (p > 0.05). The denture cleansers had no significant effect on surface hardness and flexural strength of heat polymerize groups (p > 0.05). However, D2, D3 and D5 cleaning agent decreased the hardness values of the milled group (p<0.05) and D5 cleaning agent decreased the flexural strength of the milled group (p<0.05). ConclusionsIt was observed that the applied denture cleansers affected the surface roughness, surface hardness, and flexural strength values of both denture bases but within a clinically acceptable value. Clinical RelevanceCAD/CAM denture bases showed significantly higher physical and mechanical properties than to heat-polymerized base materials. Although the applied neutral EAW cleaners give desired results for denture bases, clinical studies are needed for biological compatibility.

摘要： Background Type II diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is strongly linked with a heightened risk of coronary artery disease (CAD). Exploring biological targets common to T2DM and CAD is essential for CAD intervention strategies. Methods RNA transcriptome data from CAD and T2DM patients and single-cell transcriptional data from myocardial tissue of CAD patients were used for bioinformatics analysis. Differential analysis and Weighted Gene Co-expression Network Analysis (WGCNA) were conducted to identify hub genes associated with the CAD Index (CADi) in these cells. We then intersected these genes with differentially expressed genes in the T2DM dataset to validate the key gene FGF7. Additional analyses included immune analysis, drug sensitivity, competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) networks, and smooth muscle cell -related functional analysis. Results An abnormally high proportion of smooth muscle cells was observed in CAD tissues compared to normal cardiomyocytes. The gene FGF7, which encodes the keratinocyte growth factor 7 protein, showed increased expression in both CAD and T2DM and was significantly positively correlated with the CADi (correlation = 0.24, p < 0.05). FGF7 expression was inversely correlated with CD4+ and CD8+ T-cell immune infiltration and correlated with the cardiovascular drugs. Overexpression of FGF7 in CAD samples enhanced interactions with mononuclear macrophages and influenced the metabolism of alanine, glutamate, nicotinamide, and retinol. We also identified that hsa-miR-15a-5p, hsa-miR-373-3p, hsa-miR-20a-5p, and hsa-miR-372-3p could regulate FGF7 expression. Conclusion FGF7 serves as a critical shared biological target for T2DM and CAD, playing a significant role in CAD progression with potential therapeutic implications.

摘要： Background and Aims: CAM refers to non-traditional disease treatments, like supplements and dietary modifications, used either alone or alongside conventional medicine. The use of CAM in children and adults with immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), an autoimmune bleeding disorder, has not been well-studied or reported. Patients may be reluctant to share CAM use with health care providers (HCPs). Here, we describe the prevalence, associated characteristics, and reporting of CAM use among individuals with ITP based on survey data collected from the ITP Natural History Study Registry.

摘要： BACKGROUND: Paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH) and cold agglutinin disease (CAD) are rare, hemolytic anemias that present challenges in clinical practice, particularly in diagnosis and the utilization of an evolving therapeutic armamentarium. To improve clinical decision-making and understand practice barriers among clinicians who care for patients with these non-malignant hematologic disorders, educational initiatives in PNH and CAD were designed in collaboration with the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD).

摘要： Psoriasis, being a chronic, inflammatory, lifelong skin disorder, has become a major threat to the human population. The precise and effective diagnosis of psoriasis continues to be difficult for clinicians due to its varied nature. In northern India, the prevalence of psoriasis among adult population ranges from 0.44 to 2.8%. Chronic plaque psoriasis accounts for over 90% of cases. This study utilized a dataset of 325 raw images collected from a reputable local hospital using a digital camera under uniform lighting conditions. These images were processed to generate 496 image patches (both diseased and normal), which were then normalized and resized for model training. An automated psoriasis image recognition framework was developed using four state-of-the-art deep transfer learning models: VGG16, VGG19, MobileNetV1, and ResNet-50. The convolutional layers adopted various edge, shape, and color filters to generate the feature map for psoriasis detection. Each pre-trained model was adapted with two dense layers, one dropout layer, and one output layer to classify input images. Among these models, MobileNetV1 achieved the best performance, with 94.84% sensitivity, 89.37% specificity, and 97.24% overall accuracy. Hyper-parameter tuning was performed using grid search to optimize learning rates, batch sizes, and dropout rates. The AdaGrad (Adaptive gradient)) optimizer was chosen for its adaptive learning rate capabilities, facilitating quicker convergence in model performance. Consequently, the methodology's performance improved to 94.25% sensitivity, 96.42% specificity, and 99.13% overall accuracy. The model's performance was also compared with non-machine learning-based diagnostic methods, yielding a Dice coefficient of 0.98. 摘要： Background Multivessel disease(MVD) is linked to a poorer prognosis, increased complications, longer hospital stays, and higher in-hospital mortality when compared to single-vessel disease(SVD).The purpose of this study is to explore the clinically relevant predictors of acute cornary syndrome (ACS) combined with MVD. Methods This multicenter retrospective study included 68,378 ACS patients from 240 hospitals. The clinical data were retrospectively analyzed with univariate and multivariate analyses to identify the predictive factors for MVD. Results When compared to SVD group, the MVD group showed a higher incidence of Major Adverse Cardiovascular Events(MACCEs), including all-cause death, myocardial infarction, stent thrombosis, and ischemic stroke during hospitalization, These differences were found to be statistically significant (P < 0.05) .The multivariate analysis revealed that age over 75 years (OR: 1.246, 95% CI: 1.176, 1.319), LDL/HDL ratio > 1.98 (OR: 1.245, 95% CI: 1.192, 1.302), history of heart failure (OR: 1.446, 95% CI: 1.143, 1.829), hypertension (OR: 1.274, 95% CI: 1.225, 1.325), diabetes (OR: 1.341, 95% CI: 1.278, 1.406), eGFRs < 60 ml/min1.73m2 (OR: 1.179, 95% CI: 1.112, 1.249), family history of CAD (OR: 1.236, 95% CI: 1.108, 1.379), and high homocysteine levels (OR: 1.209, 95% CI: 1.029, 1.420) are independent predictors of MVD. The incidence of multivessel disease increased from 37.7 to 58.6% with an increase in the number of predictive factors, while the incidence of single vessel disease decreased from 62.3 to 41.4%. This trend was statistically significant (P trend < 0.001). Conclusions MVD is strongly correlated with a range of risk factors including diabetes, hypertension, LDL/HDL ratio greater than 1.98, hyperhomocysteinemia, family history of CAD, reduced glomerular filtration rate (< 60 ml/(min1.73m(2)), age over 75 years, and a history of heart failure. 摘要： 为了解决传统方法在新疆游牧民族纺织品纹样分类时准确率低、速度慢的问题,提出一种改进的卷积神经网络模型(ResNet 18-CA)。在ResNet 18卷积神经网络模型基础上添加注意力机制模块,加强对纹样特征的提取,并引入迁移学习思想,有效防止网络过拟合,并将改进后的网络模型与当前经典的几类卷积神经网络模型进行对比实验。改进后的卷积神经网络模型在建立的新疆传统纺织品纹样数据集上的分类识别准确率达到了98.62%,相比于原始的ResNet 18模型提高了3.72%,而模型大小仅增大0.2 MB,改进后的神经网络模型的分类准确率更高。
