摘要： Introduction A high-energy trauma impact is generally considered the crucial factor causing native hip dislocation. However, femoroacetabular variations are assumed to contribute to low-energy posterior hip dislocations, especially in adolescent athletes. The study aimed to analyze the femoroacetabular morphology of adults who sustained traumatic posterior hip dislocations, comparing high-energy, sports-related, and low-energy trauma mechanisms. Materials and Methods One hundred forty-one patients with traumatic posterior hip dislocations were analyzed and matched to a control group of 141 patients with high-energy trauma mechanisms without hip or pelvic injury, matched for age, gender, and Body Mass Index (BMI). The trauma mechanism was analyzed, and the femoroacetabular morphology and concomitant femoral head or posterior acetabular wall fractures were assessed using computed tomography (CT) scans. Acetabular version, coverage, and pincer morphology were evaluated by measuring the lateral center-edge angle, acetabular index, acetabular depth/width ratio, cranial and central acetabular version angles, and the anterior and posterior acetabular sector angles (AASA, PASA). The caput-collum-diaphyseal (CCD) angle and coronal and axial alpha angles were measured to detect cam morphology. Results A high-energy trauma caused posterior hip dislocations in 79.4%, sports-related mechanisms in 7.8%, and a low-energy impact in 12.8%. Patients with high-energy and sports-related dislocations exhibited a higher disposition for acetabular retroversion (p < 0.001). However, the acetabular version in low-energy mechanisms did not differ from the control group (p >= 0.05). Acetabular retroversion was associated with isolated dislocation, while acetabular overcoverage correlated with concomitant posterior acetabular wall fractures (p < 0.05). 摘要： Cell-free DNA (cfDNA), the DNA in the blood circulation, is a useful markerfor diagnosing hereditary diseases and tumors. However, the mechanisms underlying the generation of cfDNA are not completely understood. We previously studied DNases [Caspase-activated DNase (CAD), DNase1L3, and DNase I] and reported that in acetaminophen-induced liver necrosis, DNase1L3 was the main endonuclease generating cfDNA, with CAD playing a supporting role. In this study, we generated triple-gene knockout (TKO) mice, Cad-/-DNase1L3-/- DNase1-/-, and found that DNase I also contributed to cfDNA generation. Given that a defect in DNase1L3 or DNase I is involved in autoimmune diseases, TKO mice would be useful as a disease model and tool for identifying the in vivo roles of endonucleases.

摘要： The neutrophil-to-platelet ratio (NPR) is considered to be an indicator of inflammatory status. The value of the NPR in predicting in-hospital adverse events (AEs) and long-term prognosis after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in coronary artery disease (CAD) patients has not yet been reported. Meanwhile, the mechanisms behind its predictive value for long-term prognosis remain unreported as well. The study retrospectively enrolled 7284 consecutive patients with CAD undergoing PCI from January 2012 to December 2018. Multivariable logistic regression analysis, multivariable Cox regression analysis, Kaplan-Meier (KM) curve analysis, restricted cubic spline (RCS) curve analysis, and sensitivity analysis were used in the study. All-cause death was the endpoint of the study. According to the median value of the NPR, the patients were divided into two groups: the high group (NPR >= 0.02, n = 3736) and the low group (NPR < 0.02, n = 3548). Multivariate logistic regression analysis demonstrated that a high NPR was a risk factor for in-hospital AEs [odds ratio (OR) = 1.602, 95% CI 1.347-1.909, p = 0.001]. During a mean follow-up period of 3.01 +/- 1.49 years, the multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that a high NPR affected the long-term prognosis of patients (HR 1.22, 95% CI 1.03-1.45, p = 0.025) and cardiac death (HR 1.49, 95% CI 1.14-1.95, p = 0.003). The subgroup analysis showed that the NPR was affected by age and sex. The mediation analysis identified that the effect of the NPR on long-term outcomes is partially mediated by serum creatinine (Scr) and triglycerides. The NPR may be a convenient indicator of in-hospital AEs and poor long-term and cardiac outcomes in CAD patients. It might have impacted prognosis through effects on kidney function and lipid metabolism.

摘要： Stabilization appliances (Michigan splints) are well studied and widely adopted for managing bruxism and temporomandibular disorders (TMDs). Traditionally, these appliances have been fabricated by wax modeling and pressing resin onto casts made from irreversible hydrocolloid or silicone impressions. This article provides a detailed description of an all-digital workflow that uses intraoral scanning and computer-aided design (CAD) software to design a stabilization splint on a digital cast that can be manufactured autonomously by a computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) grinding machine in a subtractive procedure. The workflow is applicable to both dental practitioners and technicians. Special attention is given to aspects and procedures that are important for the successful fabrication of the splint. Working without a cast can save time and money, and the use of CAD/ CAM technology provides a homogenous splint material quality. (Quintessence Int 2024;55:846-852;doi: 10.3290/***.b5751226)

摘要： Purpose: To evaluate the effect of toothbrushing on the surface roughness (Sa), roughness profile (Rv), gloss units (GU), and surface morphology of three glazed ceramics. Materials and Methods: Specimens (n = 7) were made from the following different CAD/CAM materials and evaluated: lithium disilicate-based glass ceramic (EM);zirconia-reinforced lithium silicate glass ceramic (CE);and 6 mol% yttria partially-stabilized zirconia (IN). IPS *** CAD (EM) and InCoris (IN) specimens were sintered, and all groups were prepolished and glazed according to the manufacturer's recommendations using IPS Ivocolor Glaze Paste (IvoclarVivadent) or Universal Overglaze High Flu (Dentsply/Sirona). Sa, Rv, GU, and morphology were analyzed before and after brushing at 30,000, 120,000, and 180,000 cycles. The data of Sa and GU were analyzed with ANOVA two-way and post hoc Tukey tests (a = .05). Rv was analyzed with Kruskal-Wallis and Student-NewmanKeuls tests. Surface morphology was analyzed qualitatively. Results: Sa decreased significantly after 180,000 toothbrushing cycles for all materials tested. CE showed higher Rv than EM and IN, and IN showed the highest GU after 180,000 toothbrushing cycles, which promoted a polishing effect for all materials. 摘要： center dot Asymmetric Incremental Sheet Forming (AISF) is an unconventional forming technology that involves localized and progressive plastic deformation of the sheet using a tool, typically a punch, which follows a continuous and numerically controlled path. Due to its specific characteristics and advantages, such as flexibility and relatively low implementation cost, it is considered a technology with high potential to produce competitively small series of sheet metal components. However, there are still some challenges, such as the lack of specific CAM tools for this technology, which have hindered its industrialization. Although the process may appear simple, with a 3D path sufficient to transform the original flat sheet into the final part, it has been observed that the manufacturing of real designs requires extensive knowledge of the technology to choose the appropriate path based on the target geometry. In this regard, this study presents a new solution developed by Tecnalia that incorporates expert process knowledge and enables automatic programming of Incremental Forming paths. Specifically, the solution allows programming paths aimed at manufacturing different geometric features commonly found in sheet metal components. This development has been validated through the manufacturing of several parts in a robotic cell implemented at the Southeast University in Nanjing.

摘要： Introduction: Dynamic interaction of cam and pincer deformities can result in pathological contact forces in femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) syndrome. Similar deformities were noted during acetabular fracture reconstruction. We hypothesise that the prevalence of FAI deformity is higher in patients sustaining acetabular fractures than in a control group. Methods: This retrospective radiographic study compared the parameters that define FAI deformity in 100 patients consecutively admitted to a trauma unit with an acetabular fracture and a control group of 100 patients with lateral compression pelvic fracture without acetabular injury. Both underwent identical clinical imaging. Centre-edge angles (CEA) and alpha angles were used to define patients with pincer, cam, or mixed FAI deformity. Results: There were significantly more patients with FAI deformity in the acetabular fracture group than in the control group (71% vs. 18%, p < 0.0001). There were considerably more fractures involving both anterior and posterior acetabular columns in patients with 'pincer' sockets (p = 0.02, OR = 2.95, 95% CI, 1.12-7.78). Conclusions: There is a high prevalence of cam and pincer deformities in patients with acetabular fractures, particularly bi-column fractures.

摘要： Objective:To investigate clinical outcomes and return to sport timeline for athletes with acetabular dysplasia after endoscopic shelf acetabuloplasty (ESA).Design:A retrospective ***:Wakamatsu Hospital of the University of Occupational and Environmental Health, Japan between 2012 and ***:Fifteen elite athletes (median age: 20 years) of 253 patients undergoing ESA, arthroscopic labral repair/reconstruction, cam osteochondroplasty, and capsular plication. The mean follow-up period was 27.8 months after *** Outcome Measures:Patient-reported outcome scales (PROSs), including the modified Harris Hip Score, Nonarthritic Hip Score, International Hip Outcome Tool 12, Hip Outcome Score-Sports, and Vail Hip ***:After ESA, all 15 elite athletes were able to return to sport effectively and compete at a preoperative level. The mean time between the operation and the first practice was 6.5 months, while the mean time between the ESA procedure and the first game was 9.6 months. Approximately 27.8 months after surgery, PROS outcomes improved significantly with no hips requiring emergency revision surgery at the final follow-up. At a mean of 47.1 months after surgery, 7 athletes decided to retire from their sport. Up to 71.1 months after surgery, the additional 8 patients continued to compete in their sport at an elite ***:ESA enables elite athletes with acetabular dysplasia to return to competition at a mean of 9.6 months postsurgery.
