摘要： Achieving vibrant, energy-efficient colour modulation across micrometre-scale pixels is a critical challenge in modern display technology. Conventional approaches face limitations in scalability, high operating voltages, and light loss. Emerging monopixel designs with active materials promise a path to dynamic colour modulation without these drawbacks. However, achieving uniform, energy-efficient colour modulation across the full visible spectrum has remained difficult. Here, we introduce a full-colour, electrically reconfigurable Gires-Tournois (r-GT) resonator integrated with the conductive polymer (polyaniline, PANI), representing a significant advance in monopixel display technology. This system enables modulation of complex refractive indices within a sub-1-volt range, producing vibrant colour shifts that exceed complementary hue ranges. The r-GT resonator operates at CMOS-compatible voltages with ultralow-power consumption (90 mu W cm(-2)), offering scalability from ultrahigh pixel densities (similar to 16,900 PPI) to wafer-scale fabrication. Furthermore, PANI's metastable states enable memory-in-pixel operation, significantly reducing energy consumption compared to emissive displays. The successful demonstration of a 5 x 5 monopixel array system validates its potential for scalable, energy-efficient, and high-performance photonic applications.

摘要： Postoperative neurocognitive disorder (PND) is a significant complication in elderly surgical patients, primarily driven by hippocampal neuroinflammation and oxidative stress. This study investigated the role of Insulin-like Growth Factor-1 Receptor (IGF1R) signaling in the pathogenesis of PND and evaluated the therapeutic potential of isoliensinine (ISL). Using a tibial surgery model in aged mice, we assessed cognitive function, hippocampal IGF-1/IGF1R pathway activity, and the effects of daily intraperitoneal ISL administration (5 or 10 mg/kg). Surgery induced significant cognitive deficits and anxiety-like behaviors, accompanied by a marked reduction in hippocampal IGF-1 protein levels and IGF1R phosphorylation, which were predominantly localized in neurons. Daily high-dose ISL administration effectively reversed these behavioral impairments and restored hippocampal IGF-1 expression and IGF1R phosphorylation. These neuroprotective effects were causally linked to IGF1R activation, as co-administration of the selective IGF1R inhibitor picropodophyllin (PPP) completely abolished ISL's therapeutic benefits. Mechanistically, ISL's effects were mediated by robust antioxidant and anti-inflammatory actions. ISL treatment reversed surgery-induced oxidative stress by promoting the nuclear translocation of NRF2 and restoring antioxidant defenses. Furthermore, ISL suppressed neuroinflammation by reducing hippocampal microglial activation and inhibiting the phosphorylation of p38 MAPK. Critically, these antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects were also blocked by PPP. In conclusion, our findings demonstrate that ISL ameliorates PND by reactivating the neuronal IGF-1/IGF1R signaling pathway, which in turn suppresses downstream oxidative stress and microglial-driven neuroinflammation. This highlights ISL as a promising therapeutic candidate for the prevention and treatment of PND.

摘要： Han-Duo-Re-Shao Decoction (HDRSD), a traditional Korean medicine, effectively treats cold-pattern allergic rhinitis (AR). Its mechanism is rooted in addressing the lung-spleen-kidney qi-yang deficiency triad, which heightens rhinitis susceptibility. Guided by the principle of 'warming yang to dissipate cold', HDRSD fortifies body resistance and applies the 'cultivating earth to generate metal' theory to nourish the lungs. This study integrates ethnopharmacology with network pharmacology to elucidate HDRSD's “multi-component, multi-target, multi-pathway” mechanisms against AR.

摘要： Adrenergic-driven thermogenic activation of brown adipose tissue requires high amounts of nutrients including iron to support mitochondrial biogenesis. This is governed by rapid gene expression changes in ex vivo differentiated human cervical-derived brown adipocytes. Transferrin receptor 1 (TFRC) is upregulated in response to dibutyryl-cAMP. We aim to investigate the mechanism of facilitated iron uptake when thermogenesis is activated. Pharmacological inhibition and siRNA-mediated knock-down of TFRC during stimulation decrease intracellular iron content and prevent elevation of oxygen consumption and induction of thermogenic markers. Deferoxamine-mediated iron chelation also shows comparable effects. Contrarily, the expression of ferroportin exporter is suppressed during activation;however, its inhibition does not increase thermogenesis. Brown adipocytes constitutively express and secrete high amounts of transferrin, while melanotransferrin expression and release are upregulated only in activated adipocytes. In silico analysis suggests that melanotransferrin interacts with the helical domain of TFRC. Our findings support that iron is critical in stimulating adipocyte thermogenesis.

摘要： Hibiscus syriacus L. flower (HSF) is a well-established medicinal and dietary resource in traditional practices across China, Japan, and Korea. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, it is characterized by a sweet-bitter taste and cool nature, and is traditionally used to clear heat, promote diuresis, cool the blood and detoxify. Documented use dates back to the Ming Dynasty in China for treating gastric ailments. The custom of consuming HSF tea for gastrointestinal benefits remains common, particularly in southern China. However, the active components and mechanism of action underlying its efficacy against gastritis are not fully elucidated.

摘要： Background: Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide, with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) constituting the majority of cases. Immune checkpoint inhibitors have significantly improved outcomes in advanced NSCLC, particularly for patients with programmed cell death ligand-1 (PD-L1) expression. However, obtaining tissue biopsies for PD-L1 assessment in advanced disease is often challenging. Malignant pleural effusion (MPE), frequently associated with advanced lung adenocarcinoma, offers an accessible alternative source for PD-L1 testing. Nevertheless, the reliability of PD-L1 evaluation in cytological specimens from MPE, especially regarding staining methodologies, requires further validation. This study aimed to assess the impact of PD-L1 single staining versus PD-L1/thyroid transcription factor-1 (TTF-1) dual staining on the concordance of PD-L1 tumor proportion scores between paired histologic and cytologic MPE samples. Methods: This retrospective study involved 112 lung adenocarcinoma patients, using paired histological and MPE cytological samples for PD-L1 evaluation via immunohistochemical staining. Tumor proportion score measured PD-L1 levels, withTTF-1 marking lung adenocarcinoma cells. The study compared PD-L1 staining across samples and techniques. Results: This study aimed to evaluate the impact of staining methods on PD-L1 scoring in histological and MPE cytological specimens. The results indicate that the selection of PD-L1 single-stained or PD-L1/TTF-1 dual-stained methodologies within the same sample type did not lead to significant differences in the distribution of PD-L1 tumor proportion scores. However, when evaluating concordance with paired histological specimens, PD-L1/TTF-1 dual staining in MPE cytology samples achieved a significantly higher concordance rate (82.14%) compared to PD-L1 single staining (69.64%), with kappa values increasing from 0.59 to 0.75. 摘要： Use of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) has significantly improved patients' survival, especially in lung cancer. However, immunotherapy-related adverse events (irAEs) frequently occur and negatively impact patients’ quality of life. While investigations into genetic predictors of irAEs remain ongoing, no robust genetic loci predictive of these toxicities have been definitively established to date. To investigate the pharmacogenomic markers related to irAEs of PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors in lung cancer patients, we collected blood specimens from 1467 patients. After rigorous screening and quality control procedures, 785 of these patients were enrolled in a two-stage genome-wide association study (GWAS). The study comprised an initial discovery phase, in which 455 patients underwent microarray-based analysis, and a subsequent validation phase with an independent cohort of 330 patients. Of 688,783 SNPs genotyped using whole genome-wide microarray screening, 52 SNPs were validated using MassARRAY system. The potential impact of significant variants investigated by eQTL analysis. We identified three novel SNPs that are significantly associated with irAEs of PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitor treatments in these lung cancer patients in both discovery and validation cohorts, rs192921786 (discovery: P = 4.09 × 10⁻⁷, OR = 9.57; validation: P = 0.043, OR = 4.42) for pneumonitis, rs2498632 (discovery: P = 1.85 × 10⁻⁶, OR = 0.50; validation: P = 0.021, OR = 0.65) for anemia and rs17080141 (discovery: P = 9.11 × 10⁻⁷, OR = 3.16; validation: P = 0.027, OR = 1.86) for thrombocytopenia. Lung cancer patients with rs192921786 T allele, rs2498632 C allele, and rs17080141 A allele were more likely to suffer immunotherapy related pneumonitis, anemia and thrombocytopenia, respectively.
