摘要： Although rhenium-catalyzed annulation reactions are well-established, [3 + 3] annulations have remained elusive. We herein demonstrated a Re-catalyzed [3 + 3] annulation of β-enamino esters with 1,3-enynes affording a wide range of multisubstituted pyridines in good to excellent yields. Furthermore, 3-ethynyl indoles were also viable substrates undergoing indole ring-opening cyclization to furnish aniline–pyridine products. The protocol was readily scalable and featured simple catalyst and reaction conditions, thus offering a practical way for the construction of pyridine rings with controllable substitution patterns.

摘要： The discovery of the senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP) has reshaped our understanding of cellular senescence, shifting its role from a solely tumor-suppressive mechanism to a potential driver of chronic inflammation and age-related diseases. Accordingly, senolytic drugs, which selectively eliminate senescent cells, have garnered considerable interest due to promising preclinical studies. However, concerns remain regarding the reproducibility and generalizability of these findings. In this cross-laboratory study, we rigorously tested the senolytic efficacy of a GLS1 inhibitor and an anti-PD-1 antibody-agents previously reported to reduce the burden of p16INK4a-positive senescent cells and improve health outcomes in aged mice. Contrary to earlier reports, our study demonstrates that neither GLS1 inhibition nor PD-1 blockade significantly reduced p16INK4a-positive cell burden or improved aging-related health parameters. Although we do not seek to discredit prior work, our results underscore the need for rigorous design, standardized protocols, and independent validation to ensure reliable senolytics before clinical translation.

摘要： Technology transfer plays a critical role in the commercialization of knowledge generated by research organizations, with Technology Transfer Offices (TTOs) serving as key institutional intermediaries in this process. This study evaluates the efficiency, productivity change and influencing factors of efficiency of publicly supported TTOs by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkiye (TuB & Idot;TAK) in Turkiye using a relational multi-period Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), the Malmquist Productivity Index (MPI) and the GM(1,N) model of Grey Theory. The study covers the period between 2020 and 2022. The inputs are the number of staff and the number of research requests from industry;the outputs are the number of spin-offs, the number of start-ups, the number of applied and granted patents. The results reveal that TTOs in Turkiye have an increasing efficiency and productivity growth from 2020 to 2022. Furthermore, the size of TTOs, the number of contracted university-industry collaboration projects, the age of TTOs and the number of matching activities between researchers and firms organized by TTOs have a positive effect on the efficiency of TTOs. To the best of our knowledge, this study is the first to analyze the performance and influencing factors of efficiency of the publicly supported TTOs using DEA, MPI and GM(1,N) model.
